“Wealthy white people are starting to hire me for private parties, where I play the raisin in a bowl of oatmeal. From the way they interact with me, I can see that my being there as Shirley makes them feel it’s acceptable to openly mock black people in a way they otherwise would not, and that does cause me to have second thoughts. If what I’m doing is truly hurtful, then I need to stop.“——Charles Knipp a.k.a. Shirley Q. Liquor
Despite making the above “revelation” this article dated March 4, 2013, still shows that people are booking Shirley Q. Liquor for shows.
But the LGBT community isn’t racist right? The LGBT community is so progressive right?
I see the benefits of allowing same sex couples to marry, to be able to gain the same rights as people in heterosexual unions do. From all the HRC avatars I can tell this means alot and people are fired up and passionate about the issue. That being said, if we win this if you are a true supporter and a fighter for LGBT rights, after we celebrate I expect you all to keep at it. Keep showing the same level of enthusiasm for gender non-conformists, our trans brothers and sisters who are murdered in droves and the homeless and bullied LGBT youth who are still fighting for their happiness and sometimes their lives. And let’s never forget we have queers of color in our communities who face multiple levels of oppression and we need to extend our fight to supporting racial equality. Don’t get me wrong, if we get this thing through the Supreme Court we deserve to party, but when its time to clean up the confetti and rainbow glitter, its time to get our asses back in gear and fight until every one of us is safe, loved, and supported in this world.
i’ve already gotten a slew of messages in the last five minutes along the lines of “BUT HOW CAN YOU HAVE LESBIAN SEX WITH A PENIS THAT’S BULLSHIT” “I DON’T GET IT” “WHAT” etc
SOME LESBIANS HAVE PENISES
SOME LESBIANS HAVE AMBIGUOUS GENITALIA
SOME MEMBERS OF THE LESBIAN COMMUNITY MAY ALSO…

Feel free to submit pictures, stories or information. This blog is for you.Guys, can you help me signal boost this? I haven’t got a lot posted as of yet as I’ve just opened the blog, but I think this is something that could help a lot of people. Thanks. :)

DO NOT OUT TRANS PEOPLE WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT.
IT MAKES YOU A HUGE DOUCHEBAG,
BECAUSE YOU CARE MORE ABOUT A “TOTALLY COOL STORY”
(OR EVEN WORSE, IF YOUR INTENT WAS TO FUCK UP THEIR LIFE)
THAN THE VERY REAL POSSIBILITY THAT (ESP. IF THEY ARE A TRANS WOC) THEY COULD BE ASSAULTED, STALKED, HARASSED, FIRED, MADE HOMELESS, ETC.
DON’T FUCKING DO IT.
Let’s not forget this fucking bullshit. Yall wanna come for one let’s come for them all. Little Monsters let’s hear you defend this bit right here.
Secondly, you will never EVER touch Queen Grace. Just go ahead and quit while you’re ahead, Stephanie.

Illustrated these awesome booklets for MLucas Design and the City of West Hollywood. Mike did all the sweet graphic design and I created all the drawings on Paper. Hope folks dig them!
Seems right up our alley, as far as illustrated trans-friendly information goes.
Why GQ?
NO HOMONATIONALISM, NO HOMOMILITARISM, NO ASSIMILATIONWe’re all being told that marriage equality and the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell is progress, and that the LGBT community is moving towards equality. But is it really progress? And is equality really…

Mama Rainbow
Documentary
Director: Fan Popo
China | 2012 | 80 minENG - For Chinese parents, finding out that their kid is gay usually presents a major tragedy, with the big majority utterly unable to accept the homosexuality of their son or daughter. However, during recent years a fresh rainbow wind has been blowing over the Chinese mainland: a pioneer generation of Chinese parents has been stepping up and speaking out on their love for their gay kids. This documentary features 6 mothers from all over China, who talk openly and freely about their experiences with their homosexual children. With their love, they are giving a whole new definition to Chinese-style family bonds.
ROM - Pentru parintii chinezi, vestea ca fiu lor este gay este, de obicei, o mare tragedie, majoritatii fiindu-le absolut imposibil sa accepte homosexualitatea fiului sau fiicei sale.
Trailer
if straight people want to get scholarships for reading queer theory and going to gsa meetings then i want to be an astronaut because i saw armaggedon a few times
They weren’t astronauts in Armageddon, though. The main characters were oil drillers. So…this doesn’t really make sense.
What a coincidence! Neither does it make sense for straight people to cash in on scholarships intended for queer students.
